Tell us your worst wipe, or your best kill, or both!

This was the night before out first Akylios kill:
40

Last week we were going for Perfect Akylios. Everything went perfectly, no deaths, sub 10%.. Rogue gets hit by a wave, then blinks the wrong way and gets hit by the same wave to his death. We finished the fight with only that 1 death.

What about the best wipe?
Last week we were going against Silgen and we were down to the end with no priests left alive and him in the middle of his cast. Everyone throws up DoTs and does what they can to hurt him. Spell gets off killing everyone but right as it went off the DoTs ticked and killed him. Simultaneous win/lose.

Our first Garau kill was our best.

Also the worst wipes we've had are probably this week when a Mage got hit by a wave then reappeared on the dock alive, we would have been fine except she got Mind Decay...

Honourable mention to someone Flickering into an idol on Sicaron and our tank missing Consuming Essence interrupt on Molinar at 5% and costing us server first.

I think our best kill was probably our first Sicaron kill, which was completed AFTER the enrage buff showed up and before he could finish wiping everybody. Worst wipe would be while working on Grugonim and we wiped at about 10k HP.

Our most amusing wipe was on Sicaron. Main tank just had a really crappy string of unblocked hits on Moldering Decay and died. Rezzed him quick, might have salvaged it but in all the confusion and loud noises in vent, somehow missed that (shameful admission) I had a contract that dropped on the raid and killed us.

The fact that there are moving pictures somewhere on the Internet documenting this makes this highly amusing, particularly the nerd rage in vent while getting someone up to rez.

One of my most Fav Wipes was on the mini boss in HK. it was a new tank and he was trying to get the boss in position. As he was setting up he accidently fell off the cliff and left the boss to run wild :p

Best feeling was getting guild progressoins kills. There is nothing like em, and Im not talking about getting carried thru, but spending a couple of days grinding and your at the last 5% the anticipation and little nervious feeling you get hopeing you are not the one to wipe the raid. Sicaron = guild ball buster, between the cleansers, missing contract assingments/placements, contract areas a little bigger than shown on screen, overall mechanic centric fight makes him my least fav or the current HK run.

Worst was downing Molinar Tuesday night and people dropped and were unable to get to estrode until next week. Really as a whole HK is just too much to be in a 20 man raid, it basically requires you to put at least 3 days of raiding a week until you get it on farm. Just a little too much for my blood. I can stand tuff fights but 10-20min boss battles and there are 11 bosses just means BIG time sink. Hope they keep it under 7 bosses for any other 20-mans they are planning in the future.

Eh, Neo Progression always takes time and headaches. Once you have HK on farm. your guild will be able to clear everything in 1 night. Now lets get back to funny wipes or awesome kills!

Funniest Wipe we currently had was on Zilas, he seemed to bug out durning the Whisp phase and while everyone was standing togther trying to locate where the beem would start and BOOM he casted facing the bridge and right into the heart of the raid. Funny thing was he did not spin but just kept blasting away right at the bridge.

I'd officially say we had our now, new funniest wipe tonight. On phase 2 of the Akylios fight, and when we were 3/4 lashers and 6/8 stingers, they just stopped appearing.... Adds would spawn when they were supposed to but the appendages wouldn't. It was odd.

Just had an awesome kill this past sunday. We choose to go ahead and put an effort to do all the ROTP achiv's for Conq. Well we came up to Gen's Achiv "Str of the Gods" man let me tell you. took us a 3-4 try's but when we got the healing set up just right.... Our raid landed the killing blow at the SAME EXACT time he choose to enrage and cast his deathblow which took out 8 out of the 10 members we had. It was pretty epic! I'm loving my new pet Ashe.

We had our first Akylios kill last night, with very few deaths. It was a pretty satisfying feeling to see him go down after some painful progression nights. We 2 shot him and didn't know what to do with the rest of the night haha.

Best kill and first wipe...hmm, well they are one and the same for me. When Rise of the Phoenix was released my Guild were in there each week, we were fairly small at the time and had never even set foot in HK...or RoS for that matter, so as you can imagine, compared to most, our gear was below par. After successfully killing boss 1, 2 and the mini bosses on our first outing, we were stumped by the General for a LONG time (like 90 or so wipes). This fight was unforgiving for us as the DPS check was harsh for our gear lvl - so much so we could not afford a healer, so just had our Archon/Chloro and Bard as our main healers, with a cleric on full time cleanse duty - prior to the nerf to 4s instead of 2s.

After a few weeks of trying, we heard about the incoming nerf and gear changes and were desperate to kill him before this happened - we wanted to kill the hard version, we deserved to given how much effort we had put in. So, we popped in a second time in the week to have a full night trying.

Eventually we found ourselves matching the DPS race - 83%, 66%, 50%, 33%, 17% - it was all getting exciting, but we started to lag behind towards the end, the Incinerate started, no priests left and he still had too much health to kill him before the cast completed. Panic set in and everyone mashed the buttons like crazy - Incinerate went off but our quick thinking Bard in desperation had hit Virtuoso - he spammed his heal and everyone hit their potions and fought on, we killed the General! We earned the server first (on Argent Server) for the achievement of no one dying during the fight....we cheered and then the entire raid wiped from the DoT. So a Guild success, server first and a complete Raid Wipe all in one
