The Vile Squirlomancer PVP spec Guide.

Tired of all the other specs? Try the Amazing Squirlomancer!

Basically the idea is to pair spark with swift control, and either do heals through a vile spores bombardment or dps through fireballs.
clearly you can switch up a few things to better suit your play style. I prefer surviving a little longer and mitigating CC so i put points in fiery resolve instead of improved flame bolt. You could also toy around with it and add fire shield if you want more survivability. You can also move one point out of synthesis into photosynthesis if you want to. I like synth for queing up with a friend on occasion.

You will have four main hot keys.

    A) Vile spore spammer

    #show vile spores
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast ruin
    cast vile spores
    cast natural conversion
    cast radiant spores

    B) Fire DPS spammer
    #show fireball
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast inferno
    cast fireball
    cast countdown
    cast reflect
    cast thunder blast
    cast burn

put a little o snap i gotta run this war/rog wont leave me alone in there! Even if you were using your vile spore spammer if you need to run or kite u can switch to your fire dps spammer to buy yourself some time for help to arrive or cast reflecting presence. Hey nobody lives forever right?..... well nobody but Clerics.

Ok so now your gonna wanna create another macro. This is your debuff macro to help your group take down that pesky healer (Cleric), or impossible to kill tank (Cleric).

    C) Debuff macro
    #show incompetence
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast incompetence
    cast accelerated decay
    cast void shroud
    cast degeneration
    cast mana wrench

I call it the Cleric killer button.

    D) Transmogrify (No macro, just your friendly squirrel button)

Ok so now you have your Heal Macro, DPS macro, Debuff macro, and your squirrel button assigned to your four hottest hot keys.

Remember the main point of this spec is to utilize spark and swift control, so you are going to want to be successfully squirreling every 6 seconds. (Hint: Dont always pick the same target you just squirreled)

You are going to want to put Reflective presence close to your hot keys. Some people use a macro for this, but I prefer to use this on targets who might not be targeting me sometimes so yea, be a team player, don't macro reflective presence!

also you have storm shackle, see a big group clumped up and got a second after a squirrel? Toss that in the mix to help out your team.

Now you also want to put the following close and ready at hand for obvious reasons.

Deny - b/c cleansing is the new ish I recommend a self target macro for this backed up by wild abandon (will put later in post)
    Flourish
Bloom (some might prefer to use a self cast macro for this, if you do, back it up with burning shield)
Entropic Veil (its better than internalize charge) Although some people might want to keep their charge free for reflective presence!
The Super cleanse macro (will put later in post)
    Flicker
Cinder Burst Macro! For Pyro Armor procs of course!
**(Whither Vines)** might be good after inc hotfix

Ok so you will want to buff yourself with,

Pyro Armor (A little burst never hurt anyone!)
Lifegiving Veil/or Lifebound if Synthing a que partner
    Flaring Intellect

Then its just your raid consumables and preferences from then on! I like to use them all, powerstone, spellstone, sticky grips, armor plating, chaps, insoles, potions. (Its my plat I'll burn through it if I want too mentality.)

Disclaimer: You wont be top of the charts in killing blows, heals, or damage taken. But you will be able to really help your team win warfronts and the ability to switch between spamming heals or dps is really fun, especially when you can debuff down that annoying cleric healer or tank.

    Cinder Burst Macro
    #show cinder burst
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast [notactive] entropic veil
    cast cinder burst
    cast fireball

    Self Bloom Macro
    #show burning shield (or bloom)
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @self bloom
    cast @self burning shield
    cast reflect
    cast thunder blast
    cast burn
    cast flashfire

So Fresh and So Clean Macro
    #show deny
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @self deny
    cast @self wild abandon

    Super Cleanse Macro
    #show Nature's Cleansing
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @mouseoverui Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group01 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group02 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group03 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group04 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group05 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group06 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group07 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group08 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group09 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group10 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group11 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group12 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group13 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group14 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group15 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group16 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group17 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group18 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group19 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group20 Nature's Cleansing

Inferno should never be in a macro, and those are my main criticism. I personally hate when my class is dumbed down to 3,4,5 buttons. Such as the self bloom macro...it's just a convoluted bunching of abilities.

I'm surprised you feel that way. Don't you feel that by not utilizing a mechanic of the game meant to increase your effectiveness is gimping your play style and hurting your team? I also have a non macro bloom on my palette if that's what you mean? Which is why i #show burning shield for that macro. Anyway, The macro is for serviceability, in situations where you are being targeted it's quite useful. I also find inferno is very useful at the start of a macro, really helps sweep some guys under the rug. In the fast pace motion of a war front its nice to increase your awareness by being able to rely on thoughtfully crafted macros to help your team win. To each their own 8 ). Happy hunting

The thing with Inferno is because it slows the cast time of everything in the macro by .2-.5s for each spell due to a server call it makes. Whole bunch of info about that running around. That being said, I have it in one of my macro's because its sometimes about freedom of movement more than it is about highest dps.

Nice post, I agree with your views. I have much experience PvPing with a mage and have settled contently into a support role. As stated; I'm not at the top of DPS charts, but with a combination of debuffs, heals, instant damage and of course transmorgify I've found my team as a whole is more successful. Survive-ability is also better; other team rarely marks this build for death because they don't know how to classify and your local team stays close!

...oh and the trash talkers in WFs, they're just trying to throw you off, if anyone starts talking about your DPS flicker over to them and spam them into a squirrel, again, and again, and again, repeat.

Cericx thank you for your comment, I was unaware of this and beleive I will now take inferno out of the vile spore spam macro as I think it would best, if i need to finish someone off i can just hit it on the fireball macro. I kill so many times with inferno I cant see myself taking it out.

Upat thank you for your compliment! Yes these specs are so versatile and im enjoying mine. Once they fix chloro in pvp it should be that much better as well. What I like most about this spec is it allows you to instantly adapt to your surrounding conditions in the warfront. Thanks again and keep on squirreling!
